Nant Distillery
Australia’s only Highland Single Malt Whisky produced exclusively on the historic Nant Estate (circa 1821) in the central highlands of Tasmania, near Bothwell.
The Nant Distillery produces The Nant premium single malt whisky made from 100% Tasmanian brewers barley and water sourced from the central highland lakes as it winds it way down the River Clyde. The result, we are sure you will agree, is a premium single malt whisky that truly captures the essence of the unique Tasmanian highlands from which it has been created.
Assisted by a highly talented and dedicated team, restoration of the Nant Distillery complex commenced in 2005. The first stage of the restoration project involved the restoration of the Mill complex and construction of the Atrium Lounge and Bar. The subsequent stages will involve the restoration of the old bakery and the stable complex as the floor maltings. The project has been asisted by funding grants from both Tourism Tasmania and the Tasmanian Heritage Council who recognised the importance of this project.
